Like memories
enveloped within some dreams,
like sunshine
entwined around moon beams;
like soft whispers quietly kissing the ears,
like smiles hidden beneath sudden tears.
A moment here, and a moment there,
snatched between tiny breaths of air.
How fast and yet how slow,
we've moved forwards and still grazed in the afterglow.
The lights still burn bright,
calling to us, each starry night,
when the winds are cold and the day is dim,
and when the fog hangs around like a hymn.
In remains of such dying days,
a memory gives birth to a dream that stays.
In them two souls long lost, find peace within,
and two hearts lose a battle and yet win.
like soft whispers quietly kissing the ears,
like smiles hidden beneath sudden tears.
A moment here, and a moment there,
snatched between tiny breaths of air.
How fast and yet how slow,
we've moved forwards and still grazed in the afterglow.
The lights still burn bright,
calling to us, each starry night,
when the winds are cold and the day is dim,
and when the fog hangs around like a hymn.
In remains of such dying days,
a memory gives birth to a dream that stays.
In them two souls long lost, find peace within,
and two hearts lose a battle and yet win.
